Samantha Perry’s Golden Retriever dog No Time To Dilly-Dally RN BCAT DS CGC TKP “Dallas” finished his Rally Advanced title at the Roanoke Kennel Club trials and earned two Excellent legs from the B class with placements. He debuted in AKC agility with three qualifying runs, including a perfect JWW run. Dallas earned an invite to the Ultimate Air Games (UAD Nationals) in the senior distance division as well as first place in finals at BOSS in King, N.C., on Memorial Day weekend. Dallas celebrated Memorial Day by earning his Trick Dog Advanced and Performer titles. He also earned two NADAC Agility Qs the weekend of June 2-3 via video taped submissions. It was a great final month of competition before clinicals!
On April 5 Leanne Brownlee’s Golden Retriever Maywood’s Second Star to the Right “Blue” qualified for the 2019 Rally National with his third Rally Novice score over 93. He won his Rally Novice class at the Roanoke Valley Kennel Club trial with a score of 98. With the encouragement and support of several club members, Leanne moved up so that they competed in Rally Intermediate on April 6. Blue’s first time in the ring for Rally Intermediate he won the class with a score of 100! His second run, he earned third place with a score of 97 due to his handler having to redo a sign!
May 2018:
Samantha Perry’s Golden Retriever dog No Time To Dilly-Dally RN BCAT DS CGC TKI “Dallas” earned his second Intermediate leg with a score of 86 and a third place at the Charlottesville-Albamerle Kennel Club Rally trial. He then went on to run his fastest Fast CAT runs with the Shenandoah Valley Kennel Club, breaking into the 7 second range with a new fastest speed of 26.39 mph!!
Rosie Higdon had her Golden Retrievers at the NRVKC trials, “Brass” Gaylan’s Earth, Wind and Fire UDX RAE10 RM SH CGC GN picked up three triple Qs and “Peak” Gaylan’s Rocky Mountain High CD PCDX RAE4 RM JH TD BN GN picked up two triple Qs. Rosie says, “We had two of our worst goes ever and a couple of our better. Thanks for all that donated the Rally high combined and High Triple. Brass was the recipient.” At the Irish Water Spaniel National Specialty in Blacksburg April 24-28, Rosie and her dogs had fun playing in the all-breed events. Peak earned her CGC and Novice trick dog on Tuesday, the 24th.. Brass and Peak played in AKC Scent work fun searches. The rest of the week Brass and Peak did Dock Diving competition. Brass earned his Junior title. Peak earned her Junior and Senior titles. Will, the puppy, got to play on the ramp. On Saturday the 28th, they showed in two rally trials at the Winston-Salem Dog Training Club. Brass got two triple Qs with all placements (5/6 first place). He won high triple and high combined in both trials. Peak got two triple Qs.
Renee Machen showed her Golden Retrievers at the NRVKC obedience and rally trials. Maywood’s Daydream Believer BN RA CCA CGCA “Dream” earned her Rally Advanced title with placements in all three runs. Maywood’s First Shooting Star CDX GN GO JH RAE2 TKA WC CCA CGCA “Stella” and Skyefire All That Glitters BN CD PCDX RE CGC “Bling” both earned three legs to-ward their Rally Master title. This past weekend Renee showed two of her Goldens, Maywood’s First Star in the Sky BN CD GN RAE CGC “Sky” and Maywood’s Daydream Believer BN RA CGCA “Dream” at the Sandlapper CCA event in South Carolina. Both were evaluated high enough under three judges to earn their CCA (Certificate of Conformation Assessment) titles.
April 2018:
Samantha Perry’s Golden Retriever Dog Dallas, earned his Rally Novice title with a second place and moved up to Intermediate for the afternoon trial, earning his first Q and a fourth place at the Dog Owner’s Training Club of Maryland annual Obedience and Rally trial on March 18th. Now presenting: No Time To Dilly-Dally RN BCAT DS CGC TKI!
Rosie Higdon’s Golden Retriever dog “Brass” Gaylan’s Earth, Wind and Fire UDX RAE10 RM SH CGC GN competed in Williamsburg on March 17 in a Nosework 3 trial. He passed. Got first overall, placed in a couple of elements and received the pronounced designation. Pronounced is given by the judges and must get in all searches. Her bitch “Peak” Gaylan’s Rocky Mountain High CD PCDX RAE4 RM JH TD BN GN competed in Williamsburg on March 18 in a Nosework 1 trial. She passed. Got second overall, a placement in one of the elements and received the pronounced designation. In the Front and Finish Rally competitor rankings,. Brass is Number 7 overall, number 3 Sporting, and number 1 Golden.
March 2018:
Samantha Perry’s Golden Retriever Dog, No Time To Dilly-Dally BCAT DS CGC TKI earned two legs toward both his Rally Novice and Beginner Novice titles at the Lynchburg DOTC trials. All four qualifying runs included placements - two firsts, a second, and a third! Dallas and Samantha are hop-ing to be ready for Obedience Novice A at the NRVKC trials in April!
January 2018:
Rosie Higdon’s Golden Retriever dog “Brass” Gaylan’s Earth, Wind and Fire UDX RAE10 RM SH CGC GN earned his Rally Master title at the Atlanta Obedience Dog Club rally trial on December 17 with a second place. Her bitch “Peak” Gaylan’s Rocky Mountain High CD PCDX RAE4 RM JH TD BN GN also earned her Rally Master title at the AODCb rally trial on the 17th, but with fourth place. With a big TA DA: Introducing Rosie’s new puppy “Will” Gaylan’s Ready, Willing and Able. He is a Golden Retriever from Gayle Watkins.
Friend of the club Samantha Perry’s Golden retriever Dog No Time to Dilly-Dally CGC DS TKI “Dallas” finished his first Fast CAT title, BCAT. At the local NADAC trial, he got three qualifying runs, two in intro regular and one in novice jumpers.
